Observatorio Hemisferio Sur is located in the Ayllu de Tulor, in the southernmost point of San Pedro de Atacama and north of the Salar de Atacama, which stands out for having one of the cleanest skies for world profesional astronomical observation.

Hemisferio Sur was created in 2019 to meet the growing demand in Astrotourism services in the region, this one with an appropriate infrastructure to deliver a quality astroturistic experience.

Hemisferio Sur has a geodesic dome as a projection room for audiovisual material, a 10x5 mt platform for observing the sky with a naked eye, together with a computerized 20-inch Dobson telescope and an observation dome with 360 ° movement along with a Meade LX200 16-inch Scmidt-Cassegrain telescope.

The tour is carried out by its founders Danilo and Mariano, 2 tour guides who have extensive experience doing Astrotourism for the last 10 years, working in the most exclusive hotels in San Pedro de Atacama, as well as in prestigious tourist observatories.
